A business plan solidifies your business operations, proves you business model and provides future investors with the blueprint for your enterprise. Hear from a new business owner who went from a simple idea to a business plan to now opening her first location as she builds her brand.

About Tara Berman
Tara Berman, CPA, MBA is the managing partner of TaraPaige Group.  TaraPaige Group, a leader in management hospitality.  The firm specializes in early stage, multi-unit and expanding enterprises across all hospitality operations including fast casual, restaurants, bakeries, coffee roasters and markets.  Their niche is strategy, business plan development, operations and accounting and financial management.

Tara earned her Certified Public Accounting license in 1997 while at Anchin, Block and Anchin LLP, a public accounting firm and advanced to investment banking with JP Morgan in trading and sales for the capital markets division. In 2002, after her completion of culinary school at the Institute of Culinary Education, she started her tenure in the kitchen of the French Laundry with The Thomas Keller Restaurant Group.

Tara continued to work with TKRG in management at Bouchon Bistro, Per Se and Bouchon Bakery. Tara is a member of the Women’s Food Service Forum, New York Women’s Culinary Alliance, Founding Member of The New York City Hospitality Group, Faculty Member of the Management Program at The Institute of Culinary Education and guest lecturer at New York University Food Studies Program. In 2013, Tara earned her Executive MBA at NYU’s Stern School of Business.
